US EPA Releases Chemical Data Reporting Information

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has released the non-confidential as it pertains to the manufacturing and processing of chemicals used in the United States. The CDR provides information for over 7,600 different chemicals used in commerce, 354 of which are used in children's products such as toys, playground equipment, and arts and crafts materials.

US EPA Increases Access to Chemical Information

On February 22, 2013, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) published a list of newly which previously have been treated as Confidential Business Information (CBI). The EPA, under the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA), also posted its progress for making chemical information more readily available to the public.

US EPA: 2013 Risk Assessment for Flame Retardant Chemicals

In March of 2013, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) announced the beginning of assessments of 23 commonly used chemicals to determine any potential risks to both the environment and to the public. The plan, which will focus primarily on flame retardant chemicals, is part of the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA) Work Plan, an effort to identify commonly used chemicals for risk assessment.
