What information is required to author an SDS?
Authoring an SDS requires different types of information depening on the type of product. Typically, after signing a non-disclosure agreement with our client, we would ask for the following information:
1. Composition of the product by weight percent (for solids or liquids), and by volume percent (for gases).
2. Identity of all components including chemical name, and CASRN® (Chemical Abstracts Service Registry Number, or CAS Number).
3. Any other physical and chemical information you have on the product including: specific gravity, melting point or boiling point, flashpoint, viscosity, etc.)
